Gordon Y. McDiarmid
Educational Qualifications
Gordon Y. McDiarmid graduated from the Queen’s University School of Business in 1973 with a B.Com. (Hons.) degree, and from the Queen’s University Law School in 1977 with a Juris Doctor degree. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1979.
Professional Experience
Gord began his practice in April 1979 and has carried on the practice of law in Kingston for more than 40 years. His practice focuses on family law, real estate, Wills and Estates, and small business law.
Gord's family law practice involves providing advice, drafting Marriage, Cohabitation and Separation Agreements and acting for clients in the Superior Court of Justice, Family Court Branch when necessary.
Gord's real estate practice involves acting for buyers, sellers, mortgage borrowers and lenders.
For more than 35 years, the Ontario Office of The Children’s Lawyer has retained Gord to act as its agent in the representation of children in custody/access disputes, child protection matters and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Gord has been very involved in the community in the fields of education and music. He is a great lover of golf, kayaking, winter sports, choral singing, music, and loves spending time with his children and grandchildren. And, he has in his office what he claims is the World's Greatest Collection of Water.
Judy Millard
Educational Qualification
Judy graduated from Queen’s University with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor degree. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1982. She was a sole practitioner until October 2012 when she joined Gordon Y. McDiarmid’s practice as his Associate.

Professional Experience
Judy practices in the areas of family law, real estate, and Wills and Estates law. She has been representing children as an agent of The Children’s Lawyer for almost 40 years. She is particularly interested in using alternative dispute resolution techniques on behalf of and with her clients.
Over the years, Judy has been involved with charitable community endeavours and participates most enthusiastically in two choirs. She cherishes the time she spends with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and friends.
